We have an idea for you: host a Facebook or Instagram fundraiser on behalf of Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary.

Every dollar you raise will provide food, shelter and medicine for all your favorite farmed animal friends like Captain Dan, Nancy, and Corno. And it’s EASY:

To create a Facebook fundraiser for Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary, follow these  easy steps:

  1. Go to Facebook

  2. Find one of the many ways to start a fundraiser:

Facebook home page.png

3. [IMPORTANT!!] Select “Nonprofit or Charity” and then

Canadian Residents: Enter “Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary” (HEEFS)

United States Residents: Enter “Friends of Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary” (FHEEFS)

4. Set a goal - If this is your first fundraiser, we recommend starting in the range of $200-300, maybe $500 if you have some generous friends or if you plan to make a significant contribution, as well.

However, Facebook will send donations directly to Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary (or Friends of Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary), regardless of whether you meet your goal or not.

5. Set the end date: Choose a timeframe that leads up to your special date. We recommend hosting the fundraiser for a full week to meet your goal, but two is even better. Don’t worry - it’s fine if the end of your fundraising range ends after the specific event.

6. Describe why you are raising funds. You can leave the default fundraiser language or update it to match your own flair. We encourage you to personalize the post, but here’s a few ideas to get you started:

  • For my birthday, I’m raising money for @HappilyEverEstherFarmSanctuary, because I want sanctuary residents like Captain Dan, Bobbie, and all their piggie friends to have a life full of fun, love, and compassion.

Please join me in giving $29 (or any amount!) for the anniversary of my 29th birthday. ;)

  • Help me raise $250 for @HappilyEverEstherFarmSanctuary to purchase a week’s worth of straw so that my favorite sanctuary resident, Captain Dan, and all of his piggie friends can be cozy during the cold winter nights.

  • Join me in giving $15 to @HappilyEverEstherFarmSanctuary, which will allow them to purchase breakfast for all of the pigs, like Bobbie, for a week.

7. Add a cover photo – choose from the default images or the special fundraiser images we created just for you here (Download: Left click+control > save as):

For Canadians (HEEFS):

For Americans (FHEEFS):

8. Click Create, and your fundraiser is live!

9. Spread the word: Invite friends and family. And don’t post just once. Remind people that you are hosting a fundraiser. You can give a progress report, share a photo of your favorite resident, pass along why you chose HEEFS as your charity of choice, set up a match (you or a generous friend/family member will match the next $100), or offer to do something fun/outrageous/out of character if you meet your goal. .

10. Thank everyone who donates.

11. Feel good that you are REALLY making a difference.

Thank you for helping us spread love and compassion around the world. The whole HEEFS family appreciates your support!
