It was our sweet senior pig, Bear, who was the inspiration behind the launch of Bear Care. Tending to his needs, body and mind, is what led to us formalize our healthcare programs under the banner of Bear Care. It's all about personalized care and providing each resident with what they need to live as full, comfortable and active a life as possible.​​​​​​​

Over the past few weeks we had Softstall installed in our main barn to significantly improve the quality of life for our pigs at HEEFS.

Starting with this issue of the HEEFS newsletter, we'd like to give you an upclose look at what it takes to care for each of our residents in our new section, "A day in the life of...." We're going to start with one of our more recent rescues - Dolly. 

At Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary we've had the privilege of being able to offer sanctuary to over 50 animals ranging from cows to bunnies. Each and every resident who now calls HEEFS home was once what we call an "intake".
