Yulia started volunteering at HEEFS in April of 2018, and just a few weeks later Abraham arrived. Abraham and Yulia had an immediate bond as both of them were a bit uneasy around the other sheep at first.

As many of you may know from Bobbie’s recent hoof infection, which required a toe amputation, pigs are highly susceptible to a whole variety of foot issues.

If you look at the calendar, Mother’s Day is just one day a year. But at HEEFS, we have so many wonderful moms to celebrate that we like to give them a special snout out that lasts for the whole month of May!

As many of you who follow Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary on our Facebook page know, our sweet Bobbie Girl recently battled a hoof infection and had to spend some time at OVC. We are thrilled to report that she is doing very well and her prognosis is excellent. For those of you who might not have been aware of Bobbie’s hoof situation, here is what happened.

Kelly is not just a HEEFS volunteer, she was also our sweet, dearly departed pig, Lenny’s very special masseuse! Kelly, a Registered Massage Therapist by day, started volunteering at HEEFS in 2017.
